The howtocuredyslexia Band
Last Christmas, we didn’t give you anything and the very next day, you gave it away. This year, to save you from tears, we are giving you something special... Fronted by the superb David Miller, ‘The howtocuredyslexia Band’ have been a big draw on the London underground folk circuit for many years with fans always enchanted by David’s wit and wisdom. Naturally, David decided to pen a Christmas single – it’s got humour but also all the ingredients to make this the perfect Christmas song complete with sleighbells. “It’s Christmas” is his attempt at a Christmas song referencing Morecambe & Wise, Bing Crosby, lapsed Catholicism with a nod to The Osmonds and a hankering for nostalgia. Do not miss the very popular video accompanying the release. On the ‘b-side’ is a lovely version of live favourite “Huffin Puffin Woman” which sees the age-old dialogue between man & woman with man left rather confused by his partner’s despondent attitude for days on end. David’s self-penned biography whilst to the point, also offers insight in to the man behind The howtocuredyslexia Band: ”David A Miller was born on the first of April at home in London in 1971 the fifth of five boys. Then his dad died. He grew up listening to Perry Como, YES, David Bowie, The Sex Pistols & Michael Jackson. He has been writing songs since before having adult teeth. In 2006 he started a band. Welcome to The howtocuredyslexia Band. “Huffin Puffin Woman” is about a woman and listening to Nick Drake.’” Happy Christmas.
